Frontline Data Solutions, Inc.

Default_company_logo

Frontline Data Solutions provides web-based LMS software for heavily regulated manufacturing and engineering/construction companies. Technical management is ornery, habitually browbeats (give it some time for true colors to show) and immature in every sense. Hiring and retaining talent is a significant challenge and they often resort to the H1B/green card ploy for retention.

I worked for this company for a year as a contract programmer, and I found this to be the most fun job of my career. The projects were challanging, at the same time no pressure of deadlines or weekly reports. No politics whatsoever at work. Management is friendly and appreciate of my work. They have already invited me to return as soon as my current project is over.

The title is justified by the following points:
* The worst technical management I have ever experienced - browbeats on occasion and generally operates in a manipulative way that will put you at total unease. Your creative ideas might be implemented without appreciation and a sense of mistrust.
* Non-challenging rote work - The good work-life balance is borne out of the fact that management does not wish to grow the business so there's no real pressure to deliver anything. They are happy (read smug) to be where they have arrived and don't really care about acknowledging any of their employees' stake in their success.
* No benefits whatsoever (No 401Ks, insurance, bonuses)
